In 1945 Mr. Howard Wienshel opened a small fur factory in the heart of mouton country. Milwaukee, WI. The company name: Ardney.

Because of Mr. Wienshel's close personal supervision, his coats became know nationwide for their near flawless tailoring and remarkable attention to detail. Leading retailers have come to judge other lambskin coats by camparison with those that bear the Ardney label.

In 2010 Ardney Shearling was formed by Terri Urick as a company representing new ownership of the original Ardney formed in 1945.

Ardney Shearling still maintains the high standards of quality and service for their customers and also still manufactures their garments in the USA.
